Keystone Resort

Located just six miles off the Interstate 70 Exit, lies the beautiful resort of Keystone.  A four-season resort that boasts a family-oriented atmosphere and an abundance of activities from Spa treatments to hardcore skiing/snowboarding and mountain biking.  The Resort itsself has two main areas:  Keystone Village and River Run.  The Village surrounds the lake and emcompasses an assortment of shops, restaurants, and condominiums, as well as the Lodge at Keystone.  River Run is located just a short distance past the Village and is the base area for the ski slopes.  The Gondola is located in this area, along with numerous shops, restaurants, condominiums, ski school, ski rentals and the Season Pass Office. 

The River Run area is a wonderful location for families with small children taking ski lessons, or young adults looking for the resort nightlife.  It is also a terrific locale for those non-skiers who enjoy watching the action on the slopes from a living room window or a slopeside restaurant.

Properties range in size from studios to five-bedroom penthouses, from a short walk to the slopes or true ski-in/ski-out.  There are modest accommodations to luxurious properties and prices range from the $200's all the way up to $2.5million or more.  Many of the owners have their properties on a short-term rental program through any number of property management companies located nearby.  Revenues can vary depending on the exact location of the property, how much the unit is used by the owners and their friends, and the condition of their unit.  Always ask to see rental history and have your Realtor work up the numbers if you are considering renting your property. 

Additionally, Keystone Resort offers more secluded areas of single family homes.  If you enjoy the golf course setting, you may be interested in the Keystone Ranch or homes along the River Course.  Or perhaps you like a forest setting: Settlers Creek and Soda Ridge Road (which also offers homes built right alongside the Snake River).  There is truly something for everyone in Keystone.  If you like the resort feel, but enjoy being a little more secluded, then Keystone Resort may be the perfect place to find your mountain retreat.
